About The Game

SWARMED is a fast-paced arena roguelite where you dual wield guns, modify how their bullets behave, install passive upgrades, and try to survive increasingly ridiculous swarms of enemies.

Your weapons fire automatically, so you focus on movement, positioning, dodging, collecting XP, and building your loadout.

A normal run takes around 10 to 15 minutes and has 5 bosses. Beat the final boss to complete the run, or keep going in Endless Mode and see how long your build survives.

SWARMED gameplay

Features

Dual Wield

Mix an Uzi with a Shotgun, combine short and long range weapons, or just double up on your favourite gun. Both hands are yours to build.

Ammo Effects

Weapons can use different ammo effects such as piercing, ricochet, homing, fire and more — letting you build each side differently.

Install Upgrades

Deploy turrets, launch homing payloads, arc electricity through nearby enemies, drop mines, and surround yourself with damaging orbitals.

Stack It Until It Breaks

Your guns are only part of the build. Stack upgrades together until the screen gets completely out of control.

Hostile Swarms

Fast enemies rush you down. Ranged enemies fill the arena with projectiles. Tanks soak up damage. Support enemies protect the swarm.

5 Bosses Per Run

Every couple of minutes, a boss arrives. Defeat all 5 to complete the run — and grab the boss-only upgrades along the way.

Endless Mode

Beating the final boss doesn't have to be the end. Continue into Endless Mode if your build is still holding together.

Everything Is A Process

The whole game is presented through a retro computer and terminal interface. Enemies are hostile glyphs. Upgrades are files.

No. Your weapons fire automatically, so you focus on movement, positioning, dodging, collecting XP, and building your loadout.

You carry two weapons at once and build each side separately. Mix an Uzi with a Shotgun, pair a short range gun with a long range one, or double up on your favourite. Each weapon can also carry a different ammo effect — piercing, ricochet, homing, fire and more.

Modules are the passive side of your build. They deploy turrets, launch homing payloads, arc electricity through nearby enemies, drop mines, or surround you with damaging orbitals. Stack enough of them and the screen stops making sense.

12 playable characters, 9 weapons, dual wield combinations, ammo effects, starter weapons and modules, passive attacks, stat upgrades, boss-only upgrades, temporary pickups, and Endless Mode.
